Jane R. Marchand, 85, formerly of Attleboro, MA died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Village at Waterman Lake, Greenville, Rhode Island where she had resided since April. She was the wife of the late Russell E. Marchand to whom she was married on September 22, 1952 and passed on January 30, 2015. Born on March 11, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Truman and Isabelle (Robinson) Reed and was raised and educated in Oil City, Pennsylvania. A graduate of George Williams College, Chicago, IL and Bridgewater State Teacher's College, Mrs. Marchand was a second grade school teacher for the City of Attleboro having worked at the Willett and Hyman Fine schools for over 25 years. She also worked for Agnes Fountas Realty for many years. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends as a woman of great independence with a kind and youthful soul, always ready to help in any way that she could. Some of her favorite pastimes were anything to do with football, collecting treasures she found at yard sales, going to the Attleboro Y.M.C.A. and especially time spent with her friends and family. She is survived by her daughters: Patricia Berry of Attleboro, and Andrea Giannini and her husband, Jay, of North Attleboro and her four grandchildren: Matthew and Emily Giannini and Devin and Briana Berry. She was the sister of the late Negley "Nick" Reed, her twin sister: Mary Ann Albin and Truman "Tip" Reed. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A private burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
