Jane-Ellen "Mimi" Olsson

Jane-Ellen "Mimi" (Mahoney) Olsson, 75, of Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 19, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Vincent James Mahoney and the late Dorothy E. (Simpson) Mahoney. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she was a graduate of Attleboro High School - Class of 1963. She remained a resident of the city for most of her life.
She was employed as a lab technician for the former St. Regis Company, later Fortifiber, in Attleboro, MA from 1968 - 2002.
Her life's mission was helping families struggling with childhood cancer through her research, support, and networking. Her selfless acts saved countless lives over the years.
Left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss are her daughter: Henni E. Laverty and her husband, Roy Laverty, with whom she resided in Attleboro, MA; three granddaughters: Kelcie Jane Laverty of Attleboro, MA; Carly Elizabeth Laverty of the Brighton section of Boston, MA; Emma Ann Laverty of Attleboro, MA; a great granddaughter: Cecelia Ann Laverty-Mena of Attleboro, MA; her brother-in-law: Noel Tessier, husband of her late sister, Judith (Mahoney) Tessier, of Attleboro, MA; two nephews: James Tessier of Lowell, MA and Michael Tessier of Groton, MA; a niece: Catlyn Curley of North Attleboro, MA and several great nieces and great nephews.
Due to the current pandemic, a Celebration of Her Life will be held in the future when it is safe to gather.
Burial will be private.
