Jane Ann (McNally) Bowness, 41, of Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, died on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Women and Infant?s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island following a long illness. She was the wife of William A. Bowness to whom she was married on February 14, 1994. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on June 28, 1962, she was a daughter of Raymond G. McNally of Barrington, Rhode Island and the late Barbara (Blifford) McNally. She was raised and educated in Barrington, Rhode Island where she resided until moving to North Attleboro in 1993. She was a 1981 graduate of Barrington High School and later attended a travel agency school and the Community College of Rhode Island. Mrs. Bowness was employed as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service having worked at the Barrington Post Office for 14 years until illness forced her early retirement in 2003. She was a member of the American Postal Worker?s Union ? Local #5615. She had also been employed as a sales associate at Marshall?s in East Providence for 15 years. Mrs. Bowness attended the Central Congregational Church in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro with her family for the past 5 years. She enjoyed gardening and reading. In addition to her husband of almost 10 years and her father, she leaves two daughters: Jennifer L. Bowness, age 5, and Lorene J. Bowness, age 2 1/2, both at home in North Attleboro; a brother: Mark McNally of Barrington, RI and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, Massachusetts with the Rev. Carole L. Baker, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2004 from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM in the ?Commonwealth Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Supervised children?s room available during visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Women and Infant?s Breast Health Center, 101 Dudley Street, Providence, Rhode Island 02905.
