James S. Wills, 79, of Plainville, MA passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the husband of the late Ann B. (Trima) Wills whom he married on May 30, 1962, and who entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2020.
Born in Attleboro, MA on July 13, 1942, he was a son of the late Reginald Oswald Wills and the late Christine Lumme (Boyd) Wills.
He was raised and educated in North Attleboro where he attended North Attleboro schools. He remained a resident of North Attleboro his entire life until moving to Plainville in 1998.
Jim served in the Massachusetts National Guard from 1959 until 1963. He was a past member of the North Attleboro Elks Lodge #1011.
Mr. Wills was employed as an assembler for the former Foxboro Company from 1958 until 1962. He was the operations manager for Rainbow Movers in North Attleboro, MA from 1962 until 1982.
From 1982 until 1995, Jim was a self-employed craftsman and show manager for Bill Riggins Promotions.
Last, he was employed as a property caretaker and subsequent funeral assistant for the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home in the Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark.
He leaves two children: Deborah A. Long and her husband, Gary A. Long, of Plainville, and Robert J. Wills and his husband, Will S. Vinson, of Plymouth; two grandsons: Sgt. James A. Long, Technical Engineer, U.S. Army and Veteran U.S. Marine Corps, and Joseph A. Long of Plainville; his siblings: Donna Barnabe of Millersville, MD; Reginald Wills of Riverside, CA and Kevin Wills of Victoria, TX; a sister-in-law: Marion T. Wheaton of Plainville; and he was the uncle of several nieces and nephews. He also leaves extended family and many dear friends.
Due to Covid-19, there will be not public visitation or services.
A private celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, followed by burial in the Trima family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts.
