James Kihara Mwangi, 72, of Webster, MA, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Harrington Hospital in Webster, MA. He was the loving and beloved husband of Jemima Nini Kihara.Born on June 6, 1944 in Kenya, he was the son of the late Mwangi Gachanja and the late Jane Gathoni Wanganga.A businessman, James was raised and educated in Kenya, having moved to Webster two years ago. He was a warm and kind man with a gentle spirit who enjoyed walking, farming, traveling, and serving as a tour guide. He most especially loved being with his cherished family and treasured grandchildren.In addition to his wife, James is survived by his beloved children: Jane G. Mwicigi and her husband, Mwicigi Kaniu; and Rose N. Kihara and her husband, Ricardo R. Anderson, all of Webster, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Waithera Mwicigi, Nini Mwicigi, Sydney Anderson, and Kayleen Anderson, and leaves several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by one sister and three brothers.
