James "Jimmy" Steven Galligan, 57, of Warwick, RI, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Kent Hospital in Warwick, RI. He was the loving and beloved husband of Watsana (Khunpiluek) Galligan, to whom he was married on August 15, 2008. Born on June 4, 1959 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late William Thomas Galligan and the late Lorraine (Desrosiers) Galligan.A resident of Warwick, RI for the past fifteen years, he previously lived in Attleboro. Jimmy was a graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1977, and of the Jewelry Institute in Providence, RI in 1981, where he participated in the comprehensive modeling program. He worked for eighteen years as a Casting Specialist for Standard Chain Company in North Attleboro, MA.A true craftsman, he also loved the outdoors, camping, and working around his home. He enjoyed music and attending concerts. Jimmy genuinely enjoyed his work and was a member of the Providence Jewelers Club. He enjoyed the companionship of his two cats: "Lychee" and "KeeWee", and more than anything else, he loved spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Watsana, he is survived by his cherished children: Julie M. Galligan of Pawtucket, RI; Paul S. Galligan and his wife, Beth M. (Wald) Galligan, of Seekonk, MA; and Christopher J. Galligan of North Attleboro, MA. Jimmy was the brother of Judy Ann McCutheon and her husband, Robert McCutheon, of FL; Thomas W. Galligan and his wife, Suzanne M. (Burdick) Galligan, of Glocester, RI; Susan M. Galligan of North Attleboro, MA; and Nancy L. Quilitzsch and her husband, Carl Quilitzsch, of South Attleboro, MA. He was the brother of the late William Roy Galligan who died in infancy.
