James George Fisher Jr., 70, of Seekonk, passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on December 7, 1955, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, James lived a life marked by resilience, hard work, and deep devotion to his family. He was the son of James Fisher and Joan (Yarboro) Duarte.

James was a dedicated truck driver for Oakley Transportation, Marannbar, CBL, Red Star, and Webster, roles that took him across the country.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Fisher; his son, Joseph Fisher; his mother, Joan Duarte; and his stepfather, Ralph Duarte, Sr.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Diana Scofield, Karen Rivers, and Ralph Duarte, Jr.

Family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, 5 North Street/Coyle Drive, Seekonk MA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
