Jacqueline C. (Greve) Zilch, 97, of Plainville, MA passed away on August 29, 2024, at the Alliance Health at Maples in Wrentham, MA where she had been a short-term resident. She was the wife of the late Howard Joseph Zilch who died on October 2, 1958, at the age of 35 and leaving his wife and three small children.
Born in Norwood, MA on December 19, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George Andrew Greve and the late Mary Helena (Gormley) Greve. Raised and educated in North Attleboro, MA, Mrs. Zilch moved to Plainville in 1949.
In addition to being a dedicated mother to her children, she was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Homer Alden in North Attleboro, MA; Honeywell in Wellesley, MA and Semco Machine in Wrentham, MA prior to her retirement.
She was a longtime member of Kappa Sigma in North Attleboro, MA.
Her favorite pastimes included solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles and watching the Game Show Network, with a love, in particular, for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, this was her "shining hour".
She was the mother of Carol J. Wenger and her husband, Robert J. Wenger, of Attleboro, MA; Joan Z. Salisbury and her husband, Phillip J. Salisbury, of Mansfield, MA and Robert H. Zilch and his wife, Donna M. Zilch of North Attleboro, MA; her grandchildren: Laura L. Bouley, Christine E. Markie and James A. Zilch; her great grandchildren: Lily, Kayla and Jackson; three generations of nieces and nephews and extended family members.
She was predeceased by all of her siblings: Eileen R. Silva, George G. Greve, Mary G. Greve, Geraldine M. Robbins and Kathleen R. Fidrych.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. A Memorial Service will immediately commence at the conclusion of visitation.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Epilepsy Foundation - New England Donation Center, 1 Dunham Road, Billerica, MA 01821.
