Jacqueline "Jackie" M. (McFadden) MacDonald, 78, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George Francis MacDonald to whom she was married on November 25, 1965, and who entered eternal rest on May 20, 2010.
Born in Cambridge, MA on August 3, 1943, she was a daughter of the late William Joseph McFadden and the late Alice E. (Bridges) McFadden. She was raised and educated in Cambridge and resided there until moving to North Attleboro 53 years ago.
As a bookkeeper, she was employed at V. H. Blackinton Co., Paychex and R. J. Kenney Associates, Inc. In earlier years, she was employed at Sturdy Memorial Hospital as a receptionist.
Loving and devoted to her family, she frequently volunteered and supported local soup kitchens and often fed the homeless.
She and her friends formed the "Healing Hearts" social group that met at a local grief support meeting. She was always wanting to love and support her family and friends in any way she could.
Jackie loved scrapbooking, cross stitching, drinking Dunkin Donuts coffee, reading, but mostly spending time with her very cherished friends and family.
Mrs. MacDonald was a longtime communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, MA.
She was the cherished mother of Jennifer M. Reardon and her husband, James "Jamie" W. Reardon of Attleboro, MA and Lt. Col. Heather Lee Miranda and her husband, C.S.M. Mario Miranda, of Simsbury, CT; beloved grandmother - "Mimi" of Cole J. Reardon, Anna M. Reardon, and Sean M. Reardon of Attleboro, MA; Mason M. Miranda of Simsbury, CT. She leaves behind many extended family members and many cherished friends.
She was the sister of the late Geraldine Woods.
The family greatly acknowledges Jackie's friends and the staff at The Branches for their love and support.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
A Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at 11:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Attleboro Falls, MA.
The family strongly encourages memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, to be sent to The Wolf School, 215 Ferris Avenue, Rumford, RI 02916 in honor of her late grandson, Sean.
