Jacqueline Claire (Gariepy) Almeida, 84, of Attleboro, MA, died on Saturday, August 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Attleboro.
Born on December 4, 1937, in North Attleboro, MA she was a daughter of the late Henry Gariepy and Claire Jeanette (Cheltra) Gariepy.
She was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family and will be remembered for the unconditional love bestowed upon her family always.
Jackie, as she was affectionately known, was an avid reader, had an eclectic library and a zest for learning new things. She loved to garden, she was an amazing cook, many meals made with herbs and vegetables she grew or foraged for herself.
She enjoyed challenge puzzles, old movies and shows, and many reality tv shows. She was an artist partial to painting nature scenes and loved to craft.
Ms. Almeida resided in North Attleboro prior to moving to the City of Attleboro more than 60 years ago.
As a lover of flowers and nature, she was a former longtime member of the Wildflower Society in Framingham, MA, the New England Wildflower Society and the local, state and national Audubon Societies.
She is survived by her daughter: Kim A.V. (Almeida) Amaral and her husband, Rick, and her son: Richard "Rikki" S. Almeida; her brother: Donald Gariepy and his wife, Margaret "Midge" Gariepy, and her sister: Nancy (Gariepy) Hulbert.
Jacqueline was the sister of the late John Gariepy and Karolyn (Gariepy) Fontaine.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Michael Wyman and his wife, Brooke, and their children, her great grandchildren: Elliana "Ellie" and Chase Wyman and her grandson: Marc Wyman and his partner, Melissa Weaver, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends
