Ivanilda "Eva" Da Silva

Ivanilda "Eva" Da Silva, 68, of Plainville, MA, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.Born on April 17, 1948 in Recife, Brazil, she was the daughter of Waldecy (Maximino) Da Silva of Brazil, and the late Jose Alexandrino Da Silva.A resident of Plainville for over ten years, Eva previously lived in Attleboro, MA. She was employed for more than twenty years as an Environmental Aide at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA.Eva's greatest joy in time spent with her daughter, Rosie, and her grandchildren, Marcus and Thomas.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Rosana Jakus-Galanis and her husband, Paul E. Galanis, of Mansfield, MA. She leaves two cherished grandchildren: Marcus P. Galanis and Thomas P. Galanis, both of Mansfield, MA; four sisters and one brother, all of whom reside in Brazil; and several nieces and nephews, including her very special niece, Ronia Rocha of Great Britain. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.Children's room is available during visitation and the funeral service.Those in need of a local ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
