Irvin M. "Bud" Cobb, 94 of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 at The Village at Willows Crossing where he had resided since 2018.
Mr. Cobb was born on February 12, 1929, in Attleboro, Massachusetts and was the son of the late Louis W. Cobb and the late Sadie (Stevenson) Cobb Battison.
Educated in the Attleboro Schools he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He attended Northeastern University where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Cobb was a Founder and President of Deltran Corporation and was first to build in the North Attleboro Industrial Park.
A longtime resident of North Attleboro, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, North Attleboro. He was an active community member contributing to the area Boy Scout Program as well as serving on the High School Building Committee. He was a past President of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and a past Director of North Attleboro United Way. He was also on the Board of Trustees of the former Attleboro Savings Bank.
Mr. Cobb was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Ezekiel Bates Lodge. He also belonged to the Shriners, Palestine Temple, Cranston, Rhode Island and of course was a member of their Oriental Band playing the drums.
He had many interests and hobbies. In his early years he enjoyed building fine furniture and skiing. Later he became an avid golfer and was a member of the Highland Country Club in Attleboro. He also enjoyed building model ships. Always one to laugh, he enjoyed his life to the fullest filled with laughter and his unstoppable love to dance! He shared his quirky, beloved humor with his family and friends. And behind the humor was a wise, considerate, and caring man with a good heart.
He leaves behind his son, Mark S. Cobb and his wife Marie of North Attleboro, his daughter Nancy (Cobb) Smith and husband Jeffrey of Salem, NH. His two Granddaughters, Sarah (Cobb) Moran and her husband Timothy of North Attleboro, Stephanie (Cobb) Killion, and her husband Andrew, of North Attleboro, his four Great Grandchildren, Natalie Moran, Ryan Moran, Benjamin Killion and Caroline Killion. His stepchildren Daniel T. Blake and his wife Sue of Attleboro, Pamela A. Caponigro and her husband Joe, Kevin M. Blake and his wife Lynn of Attleboro, Thomas J. Blake and his wife Patricia. He also leaves behind his beloved companion Virginia "Ginny" Barrett.
He was predeceased by his wife Natalie E. (Sturtevant) Cobb, who he was married to for 46 years and his second wife, Marilyn I. (Blake) Cobb who he was married to for 11 years and predeceased by his brother Robert Louis Cobb.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Mr. Cobb's Visitation on Friday, June 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Service.
Private burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA.
