Irene (Lopes) Brown, 85Dedicated and Devoted to Her FamilyIrene (Lopes) Brown, 85, of Kelley Boulevard, North Attleboro, died on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Harry E. Brown who died in 1985.Born in Taunton, Massachusetts on April 3, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Mary (Rodrigues) Lopes. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she resided until moving to Franklin following her marriage and later settled in North Attleboro where she has resided for the past 60 years.Mrs. Brown was a dedicated and devoted homemaker to her family.She was a communicant of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Village of Attleboro Falls.Mrs. Brown loved to sew but her greatest satisfaction and love was derived from the time spent creating lifelong memories with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.She leaves a son: James P. Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; a daughter: Catherine C. Magno and her husband, Mark C. Magno, of North Attleboro; four grandchildren: Brittany Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Lori Ryan of North Attleboro; Christina Magno of North Attleboro and Corinne Magno of North Attleboro; three great grandchildren: Chelsea Ryan, Miranda Ryan and Conor Ryan all of North Attleboro; a sister: Olympia Martiesian of South Attleboro; a brother: Manny Lopes of Attleboro and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.She was the sister of the late Joseph Lopes, Mariano Lopes and Mary Goff.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, regardless of weather conditions, from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM in the ?Memorial Chapel? of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home ? the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, take a right at top of exit ramp, funeral home mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Those in need of transportation to visitation may simply call (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis service.Children?s room available during visitation.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 9:00 AM at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 105 Stanley Street (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, turn right onto Stanley Street in mile and travel to end of Stanley Street), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating.Burial will be private.Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
