Homer J. Shepard, Jr.

September 9, 1940 — March 2, 2023

Homer J. Shepard Jr,  passed away on Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 at the age of 82. He is survived by his eight children - Dan, Kate, Mike, Marc, Steven, Jason, Sarah, and Alexandria, and thirteen grandchildren.
A lifetime resident of North Attleboro, Homer was an active contributor to the community. A graduate of Northeastern University, he served as the Director of Human Resources for the Stern-Leach / Leach & Garner company for 40 years, and was involved in a wide range of local organizations, including serving as a founding member of the Attleboro Area Personnel Association, and on the boards of the Attleboro Foreman's Club, Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Employers Association of R.I., and as a Vestry at Grace Episcopal Church.
Homer was an avid reader and gardener. He enjoyed spending summer weekends in Chatham for over 30 years and hosting an annual N.A. Kids Day Fireworks viewing party for his friends and family.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Homer's Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, March 14th from 6pm-8pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
