Henry Joseph Dion, 90, of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the VA Boston Healthcare System in West Roxbury, MA.
Born on July 4, 1929 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Henry Dion and the late Rosanna (Roy) Dion.
Henry proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Navy, and worked for many years as the owner and operator of Henry's Painting and Decorating in North Attleboro, MA, before retiring.
A resident of Boston for the past five years, he previously lived in Pompano Beach, FL and Cumberland, RI. Henry was an ardent fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed landscaping, working in his yard, and renovating his home.
He was the loving father of Patricia Blake and her husband, Thomas, of Attleboro, MA; Ronald Dion of Boston, MA; the late Robert Dion, the late Linda L. Dion, and the late Richard Dion. He was the proud grandfather of Gary, Greg, and Scott, and the dear great-grandfather of Corbin, Olivia, Camryn, Ethan, and Blake. Henry was the brother of Janice Wyatt and her husband, David, of New Mexico, Rose Chambers of Mansfield, MA, the late Omer Dion, and the late Yvonne Ditomassi. He leaves many nieces and nephews and his extended family.
All services for for Henry will be privately held.
