Helen Sylvia Wade

Helen Sylvia (Vozzella) Wade, 84, of Wrentham, passed away at Norwood Hospital on Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Wade, to whom she was married for more than forty years and who died on December 1, 2001. Born in Norfolk, MA on January 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Frensesco Anthony Raphael Vozzella and Maguerite (Colella). Helen was employed as an Interior Decorator at Loretta's Decorating for twenty-two years, and then as a Stitcher at Dale Medical Products, Inc. in Plainville, before retiring in 2005. She loved knitting, sewing and interior design, but found her true passion in her beloved family. She leaves her daughter: Kim L. (Wade) Platek and her husband, John Platek, III of Webster, MA; step-daughter Sheila M. Preston of CA; and step-daughter Estelle L. Brummond of CA. She was the sister of Joan Shea of Millis, MA, and Anthony Vozzella of Derry, NH, and leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews. Helen was the sister of the late Mary Anderson. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:45 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation on Saturday, July, 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Wrentham Center Cemetery. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service.
