Helen Regina Grzenda

Helen Regina (Mis) Grzenda, 98, formerly of Park Street, North Attleboro, died on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro where she had made her home for the past two years. She was the wife of the late Adolph J. Grzenda to whom she was married on July 4, 1940 and who died on February 8, 1986. Born in Jewett City, Connecticut on May 22, 1914 she was a daughter of the late Maciej and Victoria (Tabor) Mis. She moved with her family to Pawtucket, Rhode Island from Connecticut in 1932 and to North Attleboro in 1938. Mrs. Grzenda was employed as a press assembly operator for Texas Instruments in Attleboro for many years prior to her retirement in 1975. Following her retirement she worked at Creed Rosary for several years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, North Attleboro. Her favorite pastimes included working on puzzle books, knitting, crocheting, baking and bingo. She took great pride in recognizing all of the accomplishments of her cherished grandchildren and, in later years, her great grandchildren. Mrs. Grzenda was the loving mother of Joseph H. Grzenda and his wife, Mary L. Grzenda, of Plainville and Donald S. Grzenda and his wife, Rosalie "Lee" M. Grzenda, of North Attleboro, She also leaves five much loved and adored grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Grzenda was predeceased by eight siblings. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the funeral immediately following visitation on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 9:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Park Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. David Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
