Helen G. Barrett

Helen Gertrude (Harris) Barrett, 79, of North Attleboro, MA passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 3, 2022, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late John Hubert Barrett.
Born in Boston, MA on December 17, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lawrence Harris, Sr. and the late Margaret Frances (Pupek) Harris. She was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School and graduated from the St. Elizabeth's Hospital Radiology Technician Program.  She enjoyed her career as a radiology technician for many years.
A resident of North Attleboro, MA since September 2014, she previously resided in Hyde Park, MA.  Since residing in North Attleboro, Helen was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark.
In earlier years, she was a devoted caregiver to her mother.  Her favorite times were those spent cooking and baking for her beloved family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and family.
Helen leaves two children: Christopher Michael Barrett and his wife, Ann Barrett, of Hyde Park, MA and Daniel Edward Barrett and his wife, Elizabeth (Kinnear) Barrett, with whom she resided, of North Attleboro, MA; a brother: Robert Harris and his wife, Mary-Jane, of Ft. Myers, Florida; three grandchildren: Kate, Meg and Jack Barrett all of North Attleboro, MA and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  She was the sister of the late Ernest Harris and James Harris.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark, Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home.
Burial will be at Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston, MA at a later date.
