Harold "Bud" Francis Jennison III, 72, of Lakeville, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Judith Anne (Schoner) Jennison, whom he married on September 20, 1969.
Born on June 23, 1947 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Harold Francis Jennison Jr. and the late Pearl Arline (Kendall) Jennison.
A graduate of Natick High School, Class of 1965, he attended Norwich University in Vermont and received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Bud spent almost 40 years helping hospitals plan, build, and operate new facilities. He served as Vice President of Facilities at several hospitals including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX until retiring in 2012.
Bud returned home to Massachusetts in 2017, after spending 17 years in Houston, TX, in order to spend more time with his grandchildren. He cherished his time with them, whether attending sporting events or going on whale watching cruises. Bud enjoyed a lifelong passion for boating that began on Lake Winnipesaukee and grew in the waters of Narragansett Bay, Long Island Sound, and Galveston Bay. His love for the water extended to cruising vacations with his wife in Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean.
Bud was a quiet man with a quick smile and a sly sense of humor. He enjoyed intimate gatherings with friends and family over good food and a nice bottle of wine.
In addition to his wife, Judith, he leaves his loving son and daughter-in-law, Scott L. Jennison and Andrea (Bolvin) Jennison, of Attleboro, MA. Bud was the proud and adoring grandfather of Michael H. Jennison and Jessica R. Jennison, both of Attleboro, MA. He was the brother of Craig Jennison of New London, NH; Kim Jennison of Concord, NH; Dean Jennison of Ocala, FL; and Laurie Jennison of Concord, NH. He leaves his extended family and many dear friends.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of face masks, friends and family are cordially invited to honor Bud by attending a Memorial Service in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
