Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 29, 1940, he was a son of the late Harold E. Hiltz, Sr. and Dorothy (Harris) Talanian and stepson of the late Charles Talanian. He was raised and educated in Dedham where he was a graduate of Dedham High School. Mr. Hiltz received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management Technology from Northeastern University. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Hiltz began his career at the Kendall Company first in Walpole and then in Boston and Mansfield as the company relocated over the years. He had a special bond and friendship with a group of friends that he routinely played cards with for more than 50 years. In addition to his beloved family, his second greatest pride was the meticulous, attentive care he gave his lawn, garden, flowers, trees and overall property. He enjoyed cooking especially for the family's annual 4th of July celebrations and the line would quickly form for his infamous clam chowder that he will be so remembered. As a wonderful and remarkable cook, he also had a passion for great food and enjoyed dining out with family and friends. Mr. Hiltz was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics games. He leaves his former spouse, Sandra L.
