Gordon William Taylor, 78, of Attleboro Falls, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2017, surrounded by his family at his home. He was the beloved husband of Lori E. (Fitta) Taylor, to whom he was married on June 19, 1994.Born on August 22, 1939 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late William W. and Muriel Mae (Hodson) Taylor.A graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1957, he honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. Gordon worked for fifteen years at Easton Case in Attleboro, and then proudly served as a Firefighter and as an EMT for the City of Attleboro.A resident of Attleboro Falls for the past twenty-three years, he previously lived in Attleboro, and was a member of All Saints Anglican Church there.A generous and patient man, Gordon was a former Scout Master for Troop 25 of the Boys Scouts of America from the All Saints Episcopal Church in Attleboro, and taught CPR for the Red Cross. He enjoyed golf, wood-carving, vacationing on cruise ships and to St. Thomas, and motorcycling, particularly cross-country trips with his wife. He loved spending time with his dogs: his late Labrador Retriever "Prince", and "Paige"; and especially cherished being with his family and his beloved grandchild.In addition to his wife, Lori, he leaves his loving children: Joshua Andrew Beach of Pawtucket, RI, and Daniel Benjamin Beach and his wife, Brooke E. (Alam) Beach, of Burrillville, RI. He was the adoring grandfather of Aria Quinn Beach. Gordon was the brother of the late Nancy J. (Taylor) Brousseau-Blocher, RN, who died on November 24, 2006. He leaves his niece, Beth Brousseau; his nephews: Keith Brousseau and Jonathan Brousseau; and many dear friends, near and far.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Gordon by gathering for a Visitation with Military Honors on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
