Gordon Richard Stoltz, 80, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the husband of the late Mary Louise (Smithkowski) Stoltz who died on May 7, 2011.
Born in North Attleboro, MA on November 12, 1940, he was a son of the late Gordon W. Stoltz and the late Margaret (Brady) Stoltz. Raised and educated in North Attleboro, MA, he remained a resident of his native community for most of his life.
Mr. Stoltz was a veteran of the United States Army having served from March 5, 1962 until his honorable discharge on February 16, 1965.
He was employed as a tool maker for Mumford Manufacturing in North Haven, CT prior to his retirement.
A proud veteran, Mr. Stoltz was a member of the American Legion Post 302 in Rehoboth, MA.
Among his favorite pastimes were listening to Elvis Presley music, being an avid sports fan, going to sporting events of his family members and taking walks with his great niece - Mia. He was a lifelong animal lover.
Left to mourn his loss are his daughter: Tammeekar L. Wing of Belfast, Maine; four grandchildren; two brothers: Alfred J. Stoltz and his wife, Kay Stoltz, of Wallingford, CT and Thomas A. Stoltz and his wife, Sharon L. Stoltz, of North Attleboro, MA; two sisters: Sandra T. Sousa in Georgia and Dorothy K. Guiard of Portland, Oregon and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert W. Stoltz and James E. Stoltz.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a committal service with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 1:30 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Columbarium.
