Mansfield, Massachusetts Gloria Britain Norris Feldhusen passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Beloved wife of the late Frank Feldhusen Jr., beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by her four children, Roy and Roberta Feldhusen of Brooklyn NY, Scott and Carole Feldhusen of Acton MA, Mark Feldhusen and Sharon Pywell of Newton, MA and Julie (Feldhusen) and Philip Cotsalas of Attleboro MA and grandchildren Sharon, Thomas, Daniel, Elizabeth, Nora, Claire, Peter and Michael. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Gloria lived for 52 years on Long Island, NY, where she worked for the Oceanside Public Schools as a secretary. Gloria could type over 120 words per minute. After retirement she and Frank volunteered for Hospice at Mercy Hospital and Souper Group at United Church of Rockville Centre. Gloria moved to The Village at Willow Crossing, Mansfield, MA in 2002 and became involved in the community and governance. She loved her family, enjoyed volunteering and was active in her church, Second Congregational Church of Attleboro, singing in the choir and member of the Martha Circle. She will be missed by her family and her many friends and neighbors. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 3:00 7:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service in Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Second Congregational Church, 50 Park Street, Attleboro with the Rev. F. Vernon Wright, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Second Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 50 Park Street, Attleboro, Ma 02703 or Old Colony Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 100, Attleboro, MA 02703.
