Gladys Mayo
Trenholm
September 10, 1955 – June 7, 2026
Gladys M. Trenholm, fondly known as Taffy to her family and friends, of Attleboro passed away on June 7, 2026. She was 70 years old.
Born in Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude (Limpus) Trenholm.
As a lifelong resident of Attleboro, Gladys spent a happy childhood at the Briggs Corner section of Attleboro with her parents and her siblings. She was the big sister who led the way for her younger siblings, Chana and Douglas. She was a 1973 graduate of Attleboro High School, where she excelled as an honor student and was a part of the high school's band and orchestra. She played the clarinet and had a love for music.
Besides her love for music, Gladys was an avid reader. She enjoyed reading numerous genres and could always be found with a book.
She worked at several local nursing homes for most of her life. Her latest job was working at Salvation Army, which she enjoyed. She also volunteered at the literacy center and Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Attleboro Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years.
In her later years, Gladys was a part of the Garden Terrace community and the Hillside Adult Activity community, where she had a great appreciation for the staff and friends she made along the way.
She is survived by her sister, Chana Pigeon and her husband Kevin; brother Douglas Trenholm and his wife Paula; Nephews, Kent Pigeon, Jared Trenholm, and Andrew Trenholm; Nieces, Joy Laspina and Jeannine Trenholm.
Her family wishes to express thanks to the caring staff of Garden Place Healthcare, Bristol Aging and Wellness, and the many visiting nurses and home health aides who cared for her.
