Gilbert Daggett, 74, of Bonita Springs, Florida and Plainville, Massachusetts passed away surrounded by his family on November 4, 2023.
In addition to his wife, Sue, of 55 years he is survived by two sons: Tim and Chris, a daughter-in-law: Lisa and twin granddaughters, Ashley and Courtney who were the "apple of his eye".
He was the son of the late Edward and Olive Daggett and was the youngest of five boys. He is survived by his brothers: Alfred (Joyce), Richard (Cheryl), Bruce (Patricia) and Robert (Nancy) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Gil grew up and was educated in North Attleboro, Massachusetts and was captain of his high school basketball team. He received a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, from Roger Williams University and spent most of his professional life in medical sales. He finished his career as National Sales Manager for Lifescan, a Johnson and Johnson Company.
He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed talking sports with his sons and brothers. His fondest memories were coaching his sons in church league basketball and playing tennis at Bearcroft Swim and Tennis Club. He was a longtime member of the former Highland Country Club and a founding member of Palmira Golf and Country Club in Florida where he met many longtime friends.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
