Gertrude "Trudy" Katherine DelSignore, 72, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford, MA after a courageous fight, with her loving family at her side. She was the cherished wife of Anthony "Tony" D. DelSignore, with whom she celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary on December 10, 2016.Born on April 15, 1945 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Mooney) and Hollis Berry, and the late Thomas O'Brien.Trudy was educated in Boston, Lakeville, and Norton, MA. She was a resident of North Attleboro for more than forty years, having previously lived in Mansfield, MA. She was one of the most compassionate individuals and was fond of working with the intellectually disabled and elderly. Trudy was employed for more than ten years at The Arc of Bristol County in Taunton, MA, a job she truly enjoyed. She will be deeply missed by her co-workers and clients.She loved life and adored her husband, children, and grandsons. Trudy loved to spend time with her family and friends, cook, sew, travel, play KENO, cards and games, and garden. She especially loved and took pride in watching her grandsons play sports. Trudy was always up for an adventure and loved going to the Cape Cod Canal and Fitzy's Pub with her husband. She was very artistic. She loved dressing up for Halloween, and scaring people while in her creative costumes, and undoubtedly many people have wonderful stories about her doing so. All who knew her will forever hold their memories of Trudy in their hearts. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children: Cheryl A. Castelli, and Daniel A. DelSignore and his wife, Melissa M. DelSignore, all of Attleboro, MA. She was predeceased by her treasured son-in-law, Stephen J. Castelli. Trudy was the extremely proud Nana to three grandsons: Anthony Robert Castelli, Kyle Daniel DelSignore, and Joseph Michael Castelli, all of Attleboro, MA. She also leaves her faithful companion, "Lexi", as well as her grand-dogs, "Vader" (whom she referred to as "Vadar") DelSignore, and Baxter Castelli. Trudy was the dear sister of Thomas O'Brien, Jack and Lynette O'Brien, Mary Smith, Ann Wilson, Hollis "BoBo" Berry, Steven and Cindy Berry, Paula and Vic Morini, and Midge Wyman. She was the sister-in-law of Loretta DelSignore, Bill and Linda DelSignore, and Ken Wyman.Trudy also leaves her stepchildren: Marianne DelSignore, Cathy Anthony, Steven DelSignore, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her friendship and sense of humor will be so very missed by her close friends.Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Trudy by gathering for a Visitation on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. there.
