Geraldine Anne (Weicker) McCann, 88, of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late John Joseph McCann, Jr.  Gerry was a longtime resident of North Attleboro, MA.
Born in Jamestown, Rhode Island on June 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul Weicker and the late Josephine (O'Connor) Weicker.
A graduate of Brown University, Gerry earned her bachelor's degree in Fine Arts as an English Major. During her working years, she was a teacher and later worked in the banking industry.  Her children consider themselves fortunate that she also spent many years being a homemaker.
Gerry enjoyed traveling with her husband "Bud", spending time with her children and grandchildren, and many special holidays with relatives and friends. She had a love for theatre, and was also an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast.   Faith was an important part of Geraldine's life. She was an active communicant at St. Mark's Parish in North Attleboro. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and Lector at the church, enjoying sharing the word of the Lord with her fellow parishioners.
Left to mourn her loss are her sons: John J. (Jack) McCann III and his wife Mary Ellen of Londonderry, New Hampshire; William J. (Bill) McCann and his wife Jane of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; and Patrick V. McCann and his wife Lara of Hopkinton, Massachusetts and her nine grandchildren, Megan, James, Caitlyn, Christopher, Elizabeth, Tiana, Kayla, Sean and Ashley. She is predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Anne McCann.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Geraldine's Visitation on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 8:30 am - 10:30 am in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA. Following that will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mark Church, 105 Stanley Street, North Attleboro. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, North Attleboro.
