Geraldine Marie (Ford) Fillman, 85, of East Washington Street, North Attleboro, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Wilford C. Fillman who died in 1972. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on November 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McMahon) Ford. She was raised and educated in the City of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and resided in that community until moving to North Attleboro 54 years ago. Mrs. Fillman was employed as a quality control inspector for V. H. Blackinton Company in Attleboro Falls for 30 years and later as a receptionist for the office of Dr. Steven Bensson in Attleboro for five years prior to her retirement. She was an ardent reader and devoted New England Patriots fan. Mrs. Fillman was happiest creating lifelong memories with her beloved and cherished grandchildren. She leaves three children: Bruce C. Fillman and his wife, Deborah (Leary) Fillman, of Attleboro; Diane M. Lombardi and her husband, Frank A. Lombardi, Esquire, of North Attleboro and Stephen J. Fillman and his wife, Monique (Plante) Fillman, of North Scituate, Rhode Island; three grandchildren: Stacy O. Lombardi, Jennifer L. Lombardi and Anthony T. Lombardi all of North Attleboro; a sister: Jane Roberts of Grand Blanc, Michigan; a brother: Dennis J. Ford of Pawtucket and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. She was the sister of the late Helen Johnson and Margaret Ford. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 5:00 PM at the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), North Attleboro. Family members will greet extended family members and friends at the conclusion of services by joining them for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the North Attleboro Elks Lodge, Bulfinch Street, North Attleboro.
