George Martin Warsofsky, 84, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Harriet S. (Shomes) Warsofsky, to whom he was married on December 20, 1959. Born on December 3, 1933 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Abraham and Gertrude (Feibel) Warsofsky. A graduate of Boston English High School, George worked as a Trailer Truck Driver for many years, most recently for RCA Whirlpool before retiring in 1994. A resident of North Attleboro since 2009, he previously lived in Brockton, MA. George was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias, Damon Lodge 4, and the Weymouth Elks Club. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed bowling and maintaining his baseball hat collection. More than anything, George loved being with his family, especially cherishing time spent with his grandchildren and attending their sports events. In addition to his wife, Harriet, he leaves his loving children: Mark R. Warsofsky and his wife, Dawn M. (Clark) Warsofsky, of Marshfield, MA; and Howard E. Warsofsky and his wife, Sheri A. (Simpson) Warsofsky, of North Attleboro, MA. George was the proud grandfather of Adam J. Warsofsky and his wife, Stacey (Hickman) Warsofsky; Jarod M. Warsofsky and his wife, Katie (Magee) Warsofsky; Ryan J. Warsofsky and his wife, Caroline (Oddo) Warsofsky; David M. Warsofsky and his fiancée, Annie Tooley; Matthew J. Warsofsky; Alexander C. Warsofsky; Jacob M. Warsofsky; and Evan K. Warsofsky. He was the adoring great-grandfather of Kaden J. Warsofsky, Chase F. Warsofsky, Reece B. Warsofsky, and Scarlett D. Warsofsky. George was the brother of the late Eileen Ruth Warsofsky, and leaves many dear friends. Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Graveside Service in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Attleboro Falls. Following the funeral services, an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #312, 437 Newport Avenue, Attleboro, MA.
