George W. Jarvis

George W. Jarvis, 96, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 24, 2021.  He was the companion of Barbara T. (Gagne) Jarvis Finn to whom he was formerly married.
Born in North Attleboro, MA on November 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mabel C. (England) Jarvis.  He moved recently back to North Attleboro, MA from Plainville, MA.  He was raised on the family farm homestead that has been developed into what is now the Chemawa Golf Course.
He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Jarvis was employed by the former Engelhardt Industries in Plainville, MA for ten years as a security guard prior to his retirement.
He will be lovingly remembered as a quiet family man who loved animals and the outdoors.
In addition to Barbara, he leaves three children: Raymond George Jarvis and his wife, Cheryl Jarvis, of North Attleboro, MA; Wayne Arthur Jarvis and Stacey L. Powell of North Attleboro, MA and her companion: John E. Stacey of North Attleboro, MA.
He also leaves 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Mr. Jarvis was the brother of the late Arthur Jarvis, Victor Jarvis, Leona George, Ruth Porter and Charles Jarvis.
Also left to cherish his memory are several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
At his request, there will be no public services.
