George William Ernest Taylor, 83, of 13th Street, Attleboro, died on Friday, August 10, 2007 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts. He was the former husband of the late Phyllis Juanita (Jack) Taylor, who died on Sunday, November 28, 2004. Born in Millbrook, Nova Scotia, Canada on December 24, 1923, he was a son of the late William and Bessie Helen (Davidson) Taylor. He resided in Nova Scotia and was employed as a coal miner prior to moving to Attleboro in 1959. He remained an Attleboro resident since coming to the United States. Prior to his retirement many years ago, Mr. Taylor was employed as a polisher for L. G. Balfour Company in Attleboro for 16 years. Although not a resident of Nova Scotia for many years, Mr. Taylor thoroughly enjoyed returning to his native countryside for visits. He enjoyed antique cars and was an ardent equestrian lover. He leaves four daughters: Erna L. Simkins of Princeton, West Virginia; Joann Baillargeon of Cumberland, Rhode Island; Edna Meadows of King, North Carolina and Wendy J. Witherell of Attleboro; two sons: Joseph R. Taylor of East River, St. Mary, Nova Scotia and Wade M. Taylor of Attleboro; eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four sisters: Zela Fairhurst of Westville, Nova Scotia; Margaret Mungeon of Cumberland, Rhode Island; Ethel Gordon of Acushnet and Irene Muir of Wrentham; a brother: Brent Taylor of Halifax, Nova Scotia and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an additional eleven siblings. Visitation and local funeral services have been respectfully omitted. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, East River-St. Mary?s, Nova Scotia, Canada.
