Gary Tonnies

Gary Leonard Tonnies, 78, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on November 8, 2025, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the husband of Catherine L. (Rasmussen) Tonnies to whom he was married on June 12, 1982.

Born in Summit, New Jersey on March 24, 1947, he was a son of the late William and Muriel Tonnies.

He was employed as an engineer for Texas Instruments in Attleboro, MA for many years prior to his retirement.

In his youth he was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, was a master diver, and was an avid golfer.

In addition to his wife, family members include his brother: Ray "Kip" Tonnies in New York.

At this time, no services are planned but a Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced for the beginning of 2026.
