Gary Francis Lanoue, 58, of Seanna Road, Attleboro; formerly of Whitman and a native of Brockton; died on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island as a result of injuries sustained earlier in the day in a bicycle accident in Rehoboth. He was the husband of Susan P. (Landenberger) Lanoue to whom he was married on May 7, 1977. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on July 29, 1953, he was a son of the late Ernest H. and Annette R. (Dupuis) Lanoue. He was raised and educated in Brockton where he resided until moving to Whitman where he resided for seven years prior to moving to the City of Attleboro 25 years ago. Mr. Lanoue was a 1971 graduate of Brockton High School. As a senior systems analyst, Mr. Lanoue was employed for the past ten years at State Street Bank in Boston and was a former employee of Fidelity Investments and Bank of Boston both in Boston. A charismatic and outgoing man, he loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of T.C.F.O., a fantasy football league, for 30 years and was a member of "Team Beer Gutz" that rode for the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and would have participated in his 15th annual ride this year. Mr. Lanoue was a member of the Bank of Boston Golf League at the Norwood Country Club for the past ten years and as an ardent "home brewer" he was a member of the "Sudsuckers" Brewing Club at Hoppy Brewing Company in Seekonk where he also worked part-time on Sundays. In addition to being an ardent cyclist, Mr. Lanoue was an avid motorcyclist and spent time riding his Harley Davison motorcycle with his wife. He had a longtime affiliation with the Annawon Council of the Boy Scouts of America having served as an assistant Boy Scout Leader with Troop 33 in North Attleboro and Troop 37 associated with St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro. In addition to his wife, he leaves three children: Bethany J. Mason and her husband, Richard S. Mason, of Norfolk, Virginia; Jonathan E. Lanoue of Attleboro and Zachary F. Lanoue of Attleboro; a granddaughter: Abigail N. Mason of Norfolk, Virginia; a sister: Jayne Rossman of East Bridgewater; three brothers: Roger Lanoue of West Bridgewater; Donald Lanoue of Hollis, New Hampshire; and Neil Lanoue in Florida; his mother-in-law: Irene J. (Kulsa) Landenberger of South Yarmouth and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, extended family members and countless friends. He was the father of the late Coreyann Lanoue. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12:30 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Victor Chaupetta, MS of the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette, Park Street, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will be private. Children's room available during visitation and the funeral service.
