Gajendrabhai S. Patel, 81, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of Urmilaben Patel.
Born on June 9, 1939 in India, he was the son of the late Somabhai Patel and the late Surajben Patel.
Raised and educated in India, he worked for many years there as a farmer. He and Urmilaben came to the United States in 1999 and he worked for several years in Pennsylvania. Gajendrabhai retired in 2011.
He was a kind man who was deeply devoted to his family and to his faith. He found peace and comfort in taking long walks almost daily and enjoyed watching the news and religious programs.
In addition to his cherished wife, Urmilaben, he leaves his loving children: Hemanti Patel, Alpa Patel, Alpesh Patel, Bhupen Patel, Deepak Patel, and Dipika Patel. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Priyank, Neel, Shrey, and Falesha. He was the brother of Kantibhai Patel and Madhuben Patel. Gajendrabhai was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters, and leaves his extended family and many dear friends, both near and far.
With strict adherence to all applicable COVID-19 precautions, including social distancing and the use of face masks, family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation and Hindu Ritual Service on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, followed by a Traditional Hindu Service and Cremation Service at 12:00 Noon at North Purchase Crematory, Attleboro, MA.
