Gail Eve (Marquart) Johnson, 72, of Mansfield, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at her home. Born on July 15, 1943 in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward G. Marquart and Karolyn R. (Karasony) Marquart.Gail was a graduate of Delhaas High School (PA), Class of 1961, and Sturdy Memorial School of Nursing. She worked for more than twenty years as a pediatric Registered Nurse for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.A resident of Mansfield for the past six years, Gail previously lived in North Attleboro, MA. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in North Attleboro, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. Gail enjoyed crafting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, reading, and shopping. She delighted in domestic and international travel, especially to Marco Island, FL. Gail enjoyed ceramics, and had her own studio; she loved to teach ceramics. An outgoing individual, she was well known at area senior centers: Mansfield, North Attleboro, and Plainville. Above all, Gail cherished time spent with her family.Gail was the beloved mother of Robert E. Johnson, Jr., and his wife, Kerry (Bedggood) Johnson, of Johnstown, PA; Lauri E. Auer and her husband, Daniel S. Auer, Jr., of Attleboro, MA; Scott E. Johnson, and his wife, Terri L. (Trautman) Johnson, of Foxboro, MA; Susan E. (Johnson) Ouzounian and her husband, Edmund J. Ouzounian of Attleboro, MA; and Peter Marquart of Zephyrhills, FL. She was the adoring grandmother of Courtney A. Johnson, Karolyn E. Auer; and Zachary E. Ouzounian; and beloved step-grandmother of Samantha Bedggood and Marc Bedggood, both of Brisbane, Australia. Gail was the step-sister of Joseph Ancharski, Eugene Ancharski, Daniel Ancharski, and Gertrude Gryniewicz. She leaves her best friend of forty-five years: Joan Anderson of Plainville, MA and Naples, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews, and her large extended family. Gail was the former wife of the late Robert E. Johnson.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St, Mansfield, MA 02048.Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield, MA, alongside Gail's late parents.Children's room is available during visitation and when the funeral cortege is being organized.Those in need of a local ride to visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
