Francis L. Trudeau, 87, of Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, died on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Golden Living Center Attleboro after a period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of Grace M. (Palmer) Trudeau to whom he was married on May 23, 1997. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 13, 1923, he was a son of the late Florence L. Tredeau. Mr. Trudeau moved to Attleboro Falls in April from South Boston where he had resided for many years. Prior to moving to South Boston, Mr. Trudeau resided in the Roslindale section of Boston for many years. He was employed as a car wash attendant in Arlington several years ago and later worked as a furniture stripper and then as a dish washer at the LaFayette House in Foxboro. Mr. Trudeau was a communicant of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, North Attleboro. He treasured the time spent making things such as shelves and sailboats. Mr. Trudeau loved the holiday season and enjoyed decorating his home and dressing up as Santa during the Christmas holiday. He will be lovingly remembered for his delicious stuffing he made each Thanksgiving. In addition to his wife of 14 years, he leaves four children: Kathleen M. McCarthy of Attleboro Falls; Grace F. McCormick of Hanover; Albert P. McCormick of Jamaica Plain and Robert J. McCormick, Jr. of Attleboro Falls; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister: Dorothy McCormack of Jamaica Plain and several extended family members and friends. David A. Costa, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls. Following the cemetery services, an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship, refreshments and remembrance at a location to be announced.
