Francis Robert "Rob" Perry, III, 52, of Lindsey Street, New Bedford, died unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Born in Attleboro, MA on September 17, 1962, he was a son of Jean Marie (Ryder) Perry of North Attleboro and the late Francis R. Perry, Jr. Raised and educated in North Attleboro, Mr. Perry was a 1980 graduate of North Attleboro High School. Mr. Perry served with the United States Army from March 27, 1981 until his honorable discharge on March 26, 1984 and was a proud member of the American Legion. He was employed as a mechanic for the Turnpike Truck Parts in Wrentham for many years prior to retiring in 2010. Mr. Perry resided in New Bedford for the past five years having previously resided in Easton, South Attleboro and North Attleboro. He enjoyed fishing and cars. In addition to his mother, he leaves a son: Joshua R. Perry of Woonsocket, RI; a brother: Glenn D. Perry of North Attleboro and several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Memorial Service Celebrating His Life will immediately follow visitation on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
