Francis Louis Convey

Lt. Francis Louis Convey, Attleboro Police Department, Retired, 69, of Nathaniel Paine Road, Attleboro, died on Monday, December 5, 2011. He was the husband of Paula J. (Bellavance) Convey to whom he was married on February 17, 1967. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 6, 1942, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Mary J. (Quintarois) Convey. He was raised and educated in Attleboro and earned his Associate degree in Law Enforcement from the former Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He proudly served with the United States Air Force from 1959 1962. Mr. Convey was a police officer for the City of Attleboro from 1966 until his retirement in 1981. He later worked as a security account manager at the Emerald Square and Westgate Malls until his retirement in 2002. He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro. In addition to his wife, he leaves three daughters: Lori J. Convey of Attleboro; Lisa J. Convey and her companion, Robert Sears, of Attleboro and Suzanne M. Devaney and her husband, Christopher Clark, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island and a grandson: Corey R. F. Devaney of Rhode Island. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, North Main Street, Attleboro, with the Rev. Richard Roy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Conveys name may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) (3) organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the American Heart and Stroke Association.
