Floyd "Bart" Lincoln Leonard, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on January 26, 2026, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI.

Born in Attleboro, MA on January 14, 1947, he was a son of the late Walter Gould Leonard and the late Gloria (Gimber) Leonard. Raised and educated in his native community of the City of Attleboro, he later earned an associate degree in business administration from Fisher College.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having enlisted on June 23, 1964, until his honorable discharge on January 12, 1968.

Bart was employed as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 29 years prior to his retirement.

He treasured the time spent creating lifelong memories with his family and enjoyed playing the lottery, fishing and clamming.

Left to mourn his loss are his four children: Scott F. Leonard of Yakama, Washington; Timothy L. Leonard of North Smithfield, RI; Lisa L. Leonard of North Smithfield, RI and Julie S. Leonard of North Attleboro, MA; several grandchildren; his siblings: Robert Leonard in New York; Hetty Oppmann in New York and Louise Kelly in North Carolina as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.

Burial will be private at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
