Florence B. Wigglesworth

Florence B. (Adams) Wigglesworth, 82, of Attleboro, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Born on December 2, 1934 in Rumford, ME, she was the daughter of the late George R. Adams and the late Florence B. (McMafferty) Adams.Florence was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford, ME, and worked for many years as a Cashier for the Ann & Hope Department Store before retiring in 1996. A resident of Attleboro for the past eight years, she previously lived in North Attleboro, MA.She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro. Florence enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends, BINGO, trips to Maine, especially to Garland Pond in Byron, and spending time with her cherished family. She was a past member of the North Attleboro Housing Association.Florence is survived by her beloved children: Barbara A. (Wigglesworth) Ouellette and her husband, Ronald P. Ouellette of South Attleboro, MA; and Karen L. (Wigglesworth) Fisher of Attleboro Falls, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Chad A., Adam P., and triplets Jenna A., Jared J., and Jesse A. Ouellette; and Garrett G. and Kendall F. Fisher. She was the sister of Theodore G. Adams of CA, Clarence E. Adams of CT, Patricia L. Burnham of ME, Marion E. Savard of ME, James A. H. Adams of NV, and Daniel F. Adams of NH. She was the sister of the late Kathleen T. Holtzman and the late Robert T. Adams of CT, and leaves many nieces and nephews.Florence was the former wife of John Norman Wigglesworth of Attleboro, MA.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.Family and friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Service immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Children's room is available during visitation and the funeral service.Burial services will be privately held in St. John's Cemetery, Rumford, Maine.Florence's family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA, 22311, or at www.diabetes.org .
