Florence "Flossie" Robinson

Florence "Flossie" (Morton) Robinson, 95, died on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in her home at Leominster Crossings, where she had lived the past two years. She was the daughter of the late William G. Morton and Agnes McLean Morton. She was born in Roxbury, raised in Mansfield and was a 1933 graduate of Mansfield High School. Following her marriage, the family moved to Marblehead and in 1955 she moved back to Mansfield where she spent the next sixty-three years. She was a member of the Attleboro and Mansfield congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. Flossie was an avid card player, loved crossword puzzles and was known for her sense of humor and hilarious one-liners. She is survived by her daughter: Shirley Davis and son-in-law, Lawrence Davis, of Lunenburg; granddaughters: Suzan Davis of Lunenburg, Lauren Nealley of Leominster, Betsy Smith of Grafton and great-grandson Jeffrey Mann of Maynard. In addition, she leaves her sister: Frances Barre and brother Hugh Morton of Florida. She also leaves seventeen nieces and nephews including Eileen and Dave Crispin of Littleton who acted as her caregivers and advocates for many years. She was the sister of the late Marjorie Thayer, Edith Morse, Dorothy Tamule and William Morton. Her family would like to express our deep gratitude to the wonderful staff at Leominster Crossings as well as Apple Valley Rehabilitation Center in Ayer for the loving and compassionate care they extended to Flossie these past two years. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6 School Street, Mansfield.
