Florence E. (Johnson) Paille, 88, of Maple Terrace, Attleboro, died peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the wife of the late George E. Paille, Sr. who died in 1979. Born in Attleboro, MA on November 28, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Raymond W. and Ruth P. (Mohr) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Attleboro and remained a lifelong resident of the city. Florence was employed in the shipping room and coin department at Leach & Garner in Attleboro for almost 32 years prior to her retirement. She was a lifelong communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Attleboro. Florence especially loved shopping with her daughter Christine every Thursday. Thursday was the highlight of her week. Florence also, loved to cook and bake sharing her breads with family and friends. She treasured the times spent with her family and especially time spent with her grandchildren. She leaves her children: Dennis R. Paille and his husband, Robert P. Lapchiski, of Providence, RI and Christine F. Kearney and her husband, Daniel T. Kearney, of Douglas; two grandchildren: Ryan D. Kearney of Douglas and Allison C. Kearney of Whitinsville; her siblings: Louise P. Baumgartel of Attleboro; Amy A. Long of Plainville and Roy A. Johnson of Taunton; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends and her beloved feline companion, "Sam" of ten years. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first great grandchild. She was predeceased by her son George E. Paille Jr. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service will immediately following visitation on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro. Memorial donations may be made to the Sturdy Memorial Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 2963, Attleboro, MA 02703 to benefit cancer research.
