Florence L. (Francis) Annese Cushman

Florence "Flo" or "Pompom" Lorraine (Francis) Annese Cushman, 83, of Wrentham, Massachusetts passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 two days shy of her 84th birthday at The Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts. She was the wife to the late Robert D. Cushman and the late William Annese.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on April 7, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Charles L. Francis and the late Florence E. (Whittier) Francis.
Raised and educated in Mansfield, Foxboro, and Attleboro, Massachusetts, Flo was a graduate of Mansfield High School. She spent 30 years in Mansfield on Union Street, 25 years in Plainville, and the last year in Wrentham at The Maples.
She had many roles during her working career. She was a receptionist for the Special Education Department at Mansfield High School for many years. She also worked for the LG Balfour Company in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Florence was an avid reader, and liked to find a good page turner to get lost in during her down time. She also enjoyed doing word searches and listening to Elvis music. She was a parishioner and member of the Women's Union at Central Congregational Church and was an active participant in the activities held at the Plainville Senior Center.
Left to mourn her loss is her daughter: Lorraine "Lorrie" Rose Waseleski, and her husband Stephen James "The Golden Boy", of Leominster, MA; Her Granddaughters: Danielle Elizabeth Waseleski and Brittany Rose Waseleski; great grand puppy: Scraps Waseleski; Sister in law: Gloria J, Francis; nieces and nephews: Joyce, Gina and George and her best friend of 75 years: Mary LaRochelle.
She is predeceased by her parents Charles L. Francis and Florence E. (Whittier) Francis and her husbands: Robert David Cushman and William Annese; brother: George H Francis; half brothers: Charlie Francis and Robert Francis and half sisters: Ruth Bernell, Phyllis Delecano and Agnes Christian.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Florence's Memorial Visitation on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.
Graveside services will follow at Plainville Cemetery Plainville, Massachusetts
