Florence Mae (Worth) Donovan, 82, of Darlingdale Avenue, Pawtucket, formerly of Attleboro and Pinellas Park, Florida, died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Robert Donovan who died in February 1992 and was the former wife of the late Vincent D. Gafford who died in March 2008. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on March 13, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle Worth. Mrs. Donovan was a 1946 graduate of Nashua High School in Nashua, New Hampshire and later attended secretarial school. She was employed as a customer service representative for Sun Trust Bank in St. Petersburg, Florida and later as a retail sales associate for the former Montgomery Wards store in Pinellas Park, Florida. A resident of Florida for more than 30 years, she returned to Attleboro where she resided from 2005 2007 and returned to Florida before settling in Pawtucket, Rhode Island last November. Among her favorite pastimes were bowling and golf. She leaves three sons: Paul C. Gafford of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; Carl D. Gafford of Scottsdale, Arizona and Sam A. Gafford of Warren, Rhode Island and a grandson: William Gafford of New York City, New York. She was predeceased by all of her siblings. Funeral services and burial will be conducted privately.
