Everett S. Norton Jr. “Steve” 74, of Norton, MA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla “Penny” (Powers) Norton. They were happily married for 40 years.


Born in Attleboro, MA., on March 13, 1951, he was the son of the late Everett S. Norton Sr., and Edith M. (Phinney) Norton.


Steve proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy serving during Vietnam, where his strong work ethic and diverse skills were first acknowledged. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and successful career as a contractor, showcasing his proficiency in plumbing, electrical work, and equipment operation. A man of many talents, Steve also had a knack for mechanics and a deep passion for classic cars and a childhood that fueled his enthusiasm for scrapping and dealing with all things junk-related.


Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Young and her husband Sean of Plainville, MA., Kristine Lane and her husband Travis of Northfield, VT., and Rob Gauvin of Barre, VT., and his sisters, Debra Norton, Katie Martin, Dolly Germain, Bonnie Norton, and Marcy Norton. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Corbin, Amelia, David and Alex, a dear great-grandson, Arthur and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, William, David and Jody Norton.


Steve’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 25th 2pm-4pm at the Wrentham American legion post 225 at 592 South St Wrentham Ma 02093. It will be a casual event. Bring your favorite memory or story to share.
