Evelyn V. Phinney, 86, of Golden Living Center - Garden Place, Attleboro; formerly of Hodges street, Attleboro died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her residence where she had made her home for the past 12 years. Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on July 2, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Harold C. Phinney, Sr. and Evelyn G. (Shonk) Phinney. She was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where she was a graduate of Attleboro High School. Miss Phinney was employed at L. G. Balfour Company and Foster Metals Company in Attleboro prior to her retirement. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church, Attleboro. Miss Phinney was a member of the Young at Heart, the A.A.R.P., the Round Table and the Oakhill Grange # 212. She leaves numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Miss Phinney was predeceased by her siblings: Marion "Betty" Nason, Lillian Regan and Harold C. Phinney, Jr. A private graveside service will be held at Stevens Corner Cemetery in Rehoboth.
