Evelyn R. (Janes) Davignon, 93, of Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Norman O. Davignon who died on May 20, 2001 following fifty-nine years of marriage. Born in Norton on August 4, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Rosanna (Pickett) Janes. She was raised and educated in the Town of Norton where she was a graduate of Norton High School - Class of 1936. She is survived by her daughter: Janice Fitzpatrick and her husband, Leonard; a son: Kenneth Davignon and his wife, Judith; five grandchildren: Christopher Fitzpatrick and his wife, Margie; Kyle Fitzpatrick and his companion, Christine Griffin; Pamela Beaumont and her husband, Todd; Ken B. Davignon and Lindsay Davignon; two great grandchildren: Marlena and Sean Fitzpatrick and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Davignon was predeceased by two sisters: Pearl Ratte and Viola Bates and three brothers: Harold, Clarence and Woodrow Janes. At her request a private family graveside funeral service was held at North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
