Eve P. Sharkey, 91, of Attleboro, Mass., died February 26, 2026.

Born in London, England, she survived the London Blitz and the hardships of the post‑war years, experiences that shaped her resilience.

She emigrated to the United States in 1960 and lived in Manhattan for several years.

She had a distinguished career in nursing and midwifery, delivering thousands of babies and serving as Head of Nursing at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Mrs. Sharkey had lived in Attleboro for approximately 30 years. She was well traveled and a devoted supporter of animal welfare organizations. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert V. Sharkey (d. 2013).

She is survived by Robert "Bill" Sharkey of Charlestown RI and Martha Sharkey Morgan of Medford, MA, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
