Eugene Dennis Beaupre, Sr.

Eugene Dennis Beaupre, Sr., 94, of North Attleboro, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Jewel Dean (Hayes) Beaupre who died on August 22, 2015. Born on October 9, 1922 in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Edgar Beaupre and the late Edwilda (Cloutier) Beaupre.Eugene proudly and honorably served our country from 1942 -1946 as a Corporal with the First Radio Squadron in the United States Army, and was awarded the Victory Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and the American Theatre Campaign Ribbon. He was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and worked for many years in the jewelry business as a gold solderer for the Evans Company and L.G. Balfour Company in Attleboro.Eugene was a very kind, quiet, and private man. He enjoyed attending South Attleboro Assembly of God, and cherished time spent with his family. He could often be found working on his home, playing computer games, rooting for his favorite sports teams, or simply watching his favorite shows on the television. He is survived by his six children: Eugene D. Beaupre, Jr. and his wife, Constance, of North Attleboro; Leo Dewayne Beaupre of North Attleboro, MA; Donna (Beaupre) Jette and her husband, Ron, of Indianapolis, IN; Denese Beaupre of Stuart, FL; Vincent Beaupre of Attleboro, MA; and Daniel Beaupre and his wife, Jackie, of Coconut Creek, FL; as well as his nineteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom he truly treasured. He leaves his brother, Donald Beaupre and his wife, Sadie, of Birmingham, AL, and many nieces and nephews.Eugene was the brother of the late Rose (Beaupre) Velenou.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Eugene's Funeral on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. immediately following visitation at the Plainville Baptist Church.Burial services will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at which time Eugene will be laid to rest alongside his late wife, Jewel.
