Esther (St. Germaine) Kittredge, 102, of Park Street, Attleboro, died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Timothy Francis Kittredge who died in 1967. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire on July 27, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Hermenegilde and Julia (Turcotte) St. Germaine. She was an Attleboro area resident for the past 30 years. She was employed at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1986. Mrs. Kittredge was a member of the Texas Instruments Retirees Club. Mrs. Kittredge was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, South Attleboro. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crocheting and treasured being a caregiver to her grandchildren. Mrs. Kittredge was predeceased by her daughter: Muriel R. "Mickey" Shields in November 2007; a son: Charles H. Kittredge in May 2014 and her maternal grandson: Timothy J. Shields in October 2012. She leaves her late grandson's wife: Kathleen S. Shields of Seekonk; a granddaughter: Christen A. Kotch of Rehoboth; four great grandchildren: Tyler W. Shields, Katelyn N. Shields, Madison R. Kotch and Delaney M. Kotch and several generations of nieces and nephews and extended family members. Mrs. Kittredge was predeceased by all of her siblings. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 9:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Baltic Street, South Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. A children's room is available during visitation and while the funeral cortege is being organized.
